So it was superstar night in Cambridge with one of Nashville’s finest songwriters, although Beth did admit she nearly ended up busking on a Peterborough street having got on the wrong train earlier in the day!

Still, a packed house in a seated Junction 1 were treated to a fabulous evening of songs from the Beth Nielson Chapman's catalogue that she either sung on her own albums or were sung by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker, Bonnie Raitt, Mindy McCready and Faith Hill and, so the list goes on.

Red July Sky consist of husband and wife duo Ally McErlaine (Texas) and Shelly Poole (Alisha’s Attic), and singer Charity Hair (Alice Band) and they opened the show and joined Beth’s band for her set. Both Shelly and Charity harmonise incredibly well and the tour family of combining essentially two bands worked a treat.

So a really a relaxed, warm and friendly gig. Great songs, great voices and just a slightly weird, siting in the Junction’s main venue.
