Tall Firs release 'Ghostlight Ensemble’
- News
Tall Firs have released their first album since 2012, it’s called 'Ghostlight Ensemble’ and is a series of tender letters addressed to friends and lovers, as well as a few unlikely recipients.
The duo, comprising Aaron Mullan and Dave Mies have only played a handful of festivals and shows since their 2013 US tour with Jeff Mangum, whilst concentrating on health and family. In the shadows however, they have been laboring away on another set of beautiful recordings.
Musicians on the album include members of Thurston Moore Band, Sparklehorse, Candy Machine, Soft Location, Jackie-O Motherfucker, Glass Rock, Hallogallo, and Jukeboxer.
Winter Wind' below features Kathy Leisen of Glass Rock on haunting backing vocals.
You can download the album now via ATP Recordings.
