A New EP from Air Formation
- News
Brighton’s Air Formation return on 25th September with the EP ‘Were We Ever Here’.
Loosely based around the group of songs they were working on in 2010 before they split, the band worked on the EP in secret, stating “We thought it would be a more exciting, organic, experience if we just got on with it un-announced and released it as fast as we could.”
Air Formation originally formed in 2000 and signed to Club AC30 in 2005 and ten years on ‘Were We Ever Here’ arrives.

The band themselves also said: “We really feel 'Were We Ever Here' showcases the best of Air Formation, but then takes it on a different path to any of the music has come before.”

Jenny Hval - New single & New UK Dates
- News
Following the release of her album ‘Apocalypse, girl’ earlier this year via Sacred Bones, Jenny Hval is sharing another original video of ‘Take Care of Yourself’ from the record. You can watch it HERE
Filmed at Stage 48 in NYC whilst opening for Perfume Genius, the ‘Take Care of Yourself’ video was shot & edited by Miles Joris-Peyrafitt. Jenny Hval describes the making of the video…"The show was in a dance club. Huge wrecking/disco ball threatening to demolish the stage. Audience was well lit, looking at each other. Intimacy and performance team's lipstick evenly distributed. I sang into a plastic flower, or an imaginary plastic flower."
Jenny and her band mates, Håvard Volden (electronics), Annie Bielski (performance artist and Apocalypse, girl cover model) and Zia Anger (visual enhancement) will be returning to the UK this autumn for a full run of shows in November.
Jenny Hval Tour Dates:
November
05 - Glasgow (UK), The Hug & Pint
07 - Leeds (UK), Brudenell Social Club
08 - Manchester (UK), Soup Kitchen
09 - Bristol (UK), The Lantern
11 - London (UK), Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen
You can purchase 'Apocalypse, girl' via Sacred Bones
Born Ruffians - New Song & Tour dates
- News
Born Ruffians have released a new track “When Things Get Pointless I Roll Away” from their forthcoming album, RUFF. The band describes how the song came together:
"The second half of the track was improvised in the studio unexpectedly. Luke (Lalonde; guitarist and vocalist) was testing out vocal sounds and repeating the words "on and on and on and on", which actually is the name of another song on the record (the one that coincidentally follows “When Things Get Pointless I Roll Away”). It was a rare, unique studio moment that led to the very atmospheric, moving feel of that vocal line. You can't plan everything that's going to happen when you make a record; sometimes the most interesting moments just happen organically."
UK Tour Dates:
Oct 06 Manchester, UK @ Gullivers
Oct 07 London, UK @ 100 Club
Oct 08 Brighton, UK @ Patterns
