Once again I will spend the whole of March wishing I was going - someone force me to book up next year!

Good luck to Southampton band - Band of Skulls - hope they go down a storm at SXSW. We're seeing them at Talking Heads Southampton on 13th Feb - Where Emma Richardson from the band used to work behind the bar. Loved them at Latitude, looking forward to seeing if tour of USA and album launch have made them a 'bigger' band.

Seeing The Drums at the same venue (max 260) - just after their Brixton NME Awards tour appearance - Who needs to go the USA !! (We do .... maybe one day - if Banker's ever get paid a bonus again !!)

Hi Jim

What a list to choose from - we've seen many of these the bands and would find it difficult to bear that in mind and seek out the newbies !

Would like to recommend the following:

Fanfarlo
The Low Anthem
Get Cape Wear Cape Fly (Sam played at our wedding last August - if you get the opportunity please say Hi to him - he's a really friendly guy - and check out his previous albums on Spotify)
Supernovas
Band of Skulls (From our home town - Southampton)
Johnny Flynn
Pulled Apart By Horses
The Wave Pictures.

Wish we were going !

Thanks Sally!!!

I will say hi to Sam for you!! As Pete will attest...SXSW is a fairly laid back festival...there could be plenty of opportunities to say hi to the artists.
Great list...I appreciate it. The great thing about the artists, (especially the ones you have listed)...they play at least 3 or 4 times over the 5 days/nights in Austin. Should be able to get to see them somewhere

there really are some great bands playing...when you add Dr Dog, Band of Horses, Walkmen, Spoon, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, even Cheap Trick and Smokey Robinson...plenty to choose from!!

be sure to check out the sxsw site..there are plenty of bands playing and they keep sneaking some in...

thanks again
