Brooklyn via Chicago songwriter Chris Mills has released a ten-year retrospective, Heavy Years: 2000-2010, last week on the Ernest Jenning Record Co. label. in the U.S. The album features twelve songs from Mills repertoire, off his last four albums ( Kiss It Goodbye, The Silver Line, The Wall to Wall Sessions, and Living in the Aftermath), and two new songs, recorded last year with Alap Momin of experimental hip-hop duo Dälek.

Over the past decade, Chris had recorded solo and collaborated and toured with numerous respected musicians, building a loyal following in the U.S., Canada, Europe and the U.K.

Heavy years is available in Europe as a download at present, otherwise, and perhaps, better still, just start your collection of this great singer/songwriter  (thin Warren Zevon, Randy Newman & Paul Westerberg) with ‘Kiss it Goodbye’ and ‘The Silver Line’

We will have an interview with Chris from his U.S. tour shortly
